chancellor of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences: Preparations for the Establishment of a Health City Underway

Dr. Saeed Sardari, chancellor of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, described the creation of a Health City as one of the university’s forthcoming initiatives, noting that the groundwork for this project is currently being laid and its implementation is being pursued with determination.
Speaking at the ceremony held this morning to commemorate Doctors, Dentists, and Pharmacists Day, Dr. Sardari stated: among the university’s plans are the establishment of special welfare wards and the allocation of 20 percent of hospital beds to provide services at private tariffs to create a sustainable revenue source; the pursuit of the implementation of Clause 18; and the expansion of health and medical centers, especially in needy areas; and enabling colleagues to operate within the framework of cooperative companies, which are among the other programs the university is pursuing.
He added that these programs are designed to generate revenue and to offset the university’s budget deficit, and, if realized, would make a substantial contribution to the payment of significant debts in personnel, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.
Dr. Sardari announced the university’s commitment to holding periodic ceremonies to honor staff in the health and treatment sectors, noting that to recognize the efforts of all hardworking groups, the plan includes periodic tributes to radiologists, midwives, nurses, staff, and other groups on occasions relevant to each profession.
Addressing the provincial officials and supervisory and executive bodies, the President of the University of Medical Sciences Zanjan, while acknowledging their support, urged health system personnel in the province to work in concert and support Zanjan University of Medical Sciences in delivering more worthy services to the people of the province.
