Dr. Ali Sadeghi, Deputy Governor of Zanjan for Political and Security Affairs, praised the exceptional performance of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences (ZUMS) during several major crises over the past year. His remarks were made on the sidelines of the Executive Committee Meeting on the Family Physician Program and the Electronic Referral System, held in the presence of Dr. Mohammad‑Reza Zafarghandi, Minister of Health. Dr. Sadeghi noted that the country experienced three major incidents last year and emphasized that ZUMS played a crucial and effective role in managing these events. He highlighted that the university’s performance earned top national recognition in the Shahid Rajaee Government Excellence Festival, with ZUMS ranking first in both general and specialized indicators. He also noted that Dr. Sardari, President of ZUMS, was selected as the Provincial Outstanding Manager. He further stated that ZUMS was named the top institution in the province during the third Population Youthfulness Event, an annual evaluation program recognizing leading organizations in implementing the Law on Family Support and Youthful Population. Dr. Sadeghi commended the consistent dedication of ZUMS staff, adding that performance evaluation reports of executive organizations clearly demonstrate the university’s commitment to its mission. He also acknowledged the tireless efforts of Dr. Sardari and the healthcare workforce during last year’s emergencies, recalling that the university president remained present at his office around the clock to oversee developments. During the meeting, Minister of Health Dr. Zafarghandi expressed his appreciation for the province’s healthcare personnel as well as the local authorities and crisis‑management teams in Zanjan.
