At a meeting of the University’s Vice-Chancellery for Research and Technology, strategies for increasing the visibility of the University’s journals in the Scopus citation database were reviewed, alongside plans to migrate the journal management platform to the internationally recognized Open Journal Systems (OJS) in order to standardize the infrastructure of electronic publishing.According to Webda Zanjan, the meeting was held with the aim of examining approaches to strengthening the international standing of the University’s academic journals. Emphasis was placed on the importance of improving the visibility of journals indexed in the Scopus citation database.During the meeting, Dr. Mehrdad Hamidi, Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology, highlighted the importance of facilitating research infrastructure and discussed the need to expedite access to international internet connectivity in order to improve researchers’ access to scientific resources and services.Another key focus of the meeting was decision-making on the transformation of the University’s electronic publishing infrastructure. In this regard, participants discussed the migration of the University’s journal management platform from Yektaweb to the open-source Open Journal Systems (OJS). This initiative was placed on the agenda with the aim of standardizing publishing processes and aligning them with international standards in electronic scholarly publishing.The meeting reflects a serious step by the Vice-Chancellery for Research and Technology toward modernizing the University’s scientific infrastructure and enhancing the impact, accessibility, and international reach of its scholarly output.
