The Third Provincial Event on Population Youthfulness / Zanjan University of Medical Sciences Awarded Top Rank

At the third provincial event on population youthfulness, held with the aim of recognizing outstanding institutions in implementing the Law on Supporting Families and Youthfulness of Population, Zanjan University of Medical Sciences was honored as the leading organization. According to Webda–Zanjan, the event took place on December 25 with the presence of Ali Sadeghi, Deputy Governor of Zanjan for Political, Security, and Social Affairs, along with other provincial officials. The program addressed key domains including family, media, non-governmental organizations, private companies and institutions, executive managers, and academic elites. In his remarks, the Deputy Governor emphasized the strategic importance of supporting families and population youthfulness, noting that this issue is not merely a social concern but a fundamental necessity for the country’s economic, cultural, and social future. Neglecting it, he warned, would lead to long-term consequences that cannot easily be remedied.

Ali Sadeghi further stated that family support plays a decisive role in sustainable development and holds a prominent place in national policymaking and executive planning. A society enriched with young human resources, he argued, possesses greater capacity for production, social resilience, and preservation of cultural values. Conversely, disregard for this matter will result in challenges that are difficult to overcome in the long run. He identified cultural promotion as a crucial pillar in this process, stressing that perspectives on family, marriage, and childbearing must be grounded in awareness, responsibility, and effective support. Given the country’s sensitive demographic juncture, he underscored that implementing the Law on Population Youthfulness, ratified by Parliament, is a collective duty of executive bodies, cultural authorities, and the public at large.

The Deputy Governor also highlighted the objectives of the third provincial event, explaining that it was not merely a ceremony of appreciation but an opportunity to identify successful models, evaluate performances, and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders in the field of population. Sadeghi concluded by noting that the event honored large families, media activists, academic elites, non-governmental organizations, family-friendly economic enterprises, responsible managers, and leading executive bodies in implementing the Law on Supporting Families and Population Youthfulness. These groups, he emphasized, exemplify responsibility and forward-looking perspectives in addressing demographic challenges.
