The Head of the Pre-Hospital Emergency and Disaster Management Center at Zanjan University of Medical Sciences reported a successful medical mission resulting in the safe delivery of a newborn inside an ambulance in Tarom County.

According to WebDA-Zanjan, Dr. Ebrahim Khosroshahi detailed the incident on Friday afternoon, stating: “Following an emergency call at 11:26 AM on Friday, October 9 (Mehr 17), reporting a 19-year-old expectant mother in labor in the village of ‘Paveh Rood’, Tarom, an emergency medical response team from the ‘Anzar’ EMS base was immediately dispatched to the scene.”

He added: “Upon arrival, the emergency medical technicians provided primary clinical care and maternal support before initiating urgent transport to a healthcare facility. During the transit, the baby was successfully delivered inside the ambulance.”

The Head of Pre-Hospital Emergency Services noted: “Following the successful field delivery, both the mother and newborn were safely transferred in stable and healthy condition to the maternity ward of Shohadaye Tarom Hospital, where they were placed under the specialized care of the hospital’s medical team.”
