Marking the Sacred Defense Week, a commemorative ceremony was held to honor the war veterans (Isargaran), the esteemed families of martyrs, and the proud liberated prisoners of war (Azadegan) of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences (ZUMS). The event was attended by Dr. Saeed Sardari, Chancellor of the University, Hojjat al-Islam Dr. Majid Naghilou, Head of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office at the University, alongside several senior university officials.

According to WebDA-Zanjan, the ceremony was held on Tuesday morning, October 6 (14th of Mehr). While commemorating the cherished memory of the exalted martyrs, the event paid tribute to the self-sacrifice and devotion of combatants, liberated prisoners of war, and families of martyrs, underscoring their invaluable role during the Sacred Defense era and their continuing influence on keeping the spirit of sacrifice and martyrdom alive.

This commemorative gathering provided a meaningful opportunity to honor the enduring struggles to which the Islamic Republic of Iran owes its dignity, security, and honor.
